Magazine reporter Hinata (Aya Oomasa) was visiting South Korea for a magazine interview. Whilst she met one of the baddest man by chance, Yong-soo (Yoochun), the son of South Korean chaebol Yasunori group.

Later on, Yong-soo as the representative of the conglomerate group came to Japan to buy a major hotel line. When Hinata returned to Japan, she’s surprised to again, encounter Yong-soo who was wandering around the city!?

Hinata was being unaware that he’s the rich son being rumored to lost on street, while Yong-soo has escaped for freedom as he’s fed up of the life bound to be a conglomerate. Through multiple interactions, the two started to understand each other more… without status nor money, what is the thing a human actually needs? Even though there’s been a lot of controversy and complications surrounding TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki, some good news has surfaced as it’s been announced that leader Yunho will be attending the 2010 World Expo as a representative of Korea.

If you’re unfamiliar with the World Expo, this event has been an important worldwide tradition where many countries gather and show off their national brand and culture. This year’s expo will begin on May 1st and end on October 31st in Shanghai, China.

On the 28th, Yunho’s representative stated, “Yunho has been chosen by KOTRA (Korean Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) to attend the expo on behalf of South Korea.”

The World Expo is one of biggest occurrences in global events and it’s quite an honor for Yunho to be representing South Korea.

During the announcement ceremony, a lengthy promotional video involving SM Entertainment artists such as Amber, Victoria, Krystal, Donghae, Eunhyuk, Henry, Siwon, Yunho and others was displayed. This video will be played throughout the expo to promote green cities for the future. A representative expressed that Yunho plays the lead character because of his high popularity in China.

Q: What are your future activities?
I don’t have a definite plan yet. If there are people who like my music, I will continue to sing no matter where I go. Even if it means going to Africa (laughs)

Q: You have to go through your hectic schedule everyday, so do you have a secret in throwing away your identity? (t/n: meaning blending in in public places)
Because of the fans, I don’t really have any ways of disguising myself. Although I may feel frustrated sometimes, I’m still very grateful in my heart for everyone’s love

Q: How do you recover your spirit when you’re feeling down?
I’m the type of person that isn’t easily depressed or annoyed. But I listen to music when I feel sometimes pressure. If I were in Korea then I would go out for a drive, but of course I’ll drive safely! (laughs)

Q: This year January and February, you participated in the musical Mozart in Korea right?
At first, I rejected the part because of my schedule. But I’ve always had the heart for music, so when I listened to some of the songs in the musical, I felt the urge to sing it myself. I don’t know if others are satisfied with my performance and execution of Mozart, but I really put all my effort into it. I practiced and prepared a lot with the other actors and didn’t make myself seem like the special guest

Q: The subject of one of Korea’s top singers challenging musical acting has become a rather hot topic…
Although you have to have experience, you still have to have the passion. At first, I didn’t have the confidence at all and didn’t know where or how to begin because I haven’t tried this type of acting before. Comparing myself to Korea’s top professional musical actors, I felt very nervous and concerned. But because I already have this chance, I have to do the best I can– I’m a rather big perfectionist. Everyone has their own thing to brag about right?

Q: What did you learn from the experience of the musical?
I have been worrying about how to present the character while singing at the same time. Most of the actors that I worked with were all professional vocalists, so even if I started training now, I wouldn’t be able to catch up! But then the supervising teacher said that I could use “Junsu’s” way of singing to express Mozart. I was really happy, and even asked several times if it was real!

Q: Was this your first time seeing a musical?
Yes, it was my first time. And my first time was seeing myself acting as the main character! (laughs) Why didn’t I watch any musicals before? If I have the time in the future, I really want to watch a musical

Q: Since you already acted in a musical, what thoughts do you have about being a real actor?
Although I haven’t really acted before, my acting skills come naturally as the narration of the songs depicts a real situation. But if suitable chances come and there’s a role that suits me, I will definitely choose the best I can and try it out

Q: Is it true that you were in the Acting and Arts Department in your university?
I used to be, but then I switched to the Musical Department. I felt that since I could learn how to sing, dance, and perform all at the same time, I switched to this department.

Q: What type of music-plan do you have for yourself?
I want to do forms of musical performances like Mozart. Singing while acting is something I’ve been thinking about lately…

Q: When you’re 30, how do you think you’ll be?
There probably won’t be too much of a big difference compared to now. There will be a surge of younger generations after me and when I’m 40, maybe I’ll be an uncle that just loves to sing! (laughs) I’ll continue with music related work, and take rests when it seems fit. Singing… if I want to sing then I’ll sing. I want to live a more carefree life…

—— How did you feel when you received an invitation to participate in your first Japanese television drama?

Yoochun: Because I didn’t have any acting experiences before and I have to use Japanese, I was very anxious

—— This is considered your debut Japanese drama, so what was going through your head when you arrived on-set?

Yoochun: I received the encouragement of my costars, the staff, and also the director, so it was a very enjoyable shoot. Before, I thought being a singer was hard, but now, I think being an actor is even harder

—— Please explain to us an incident during filming that left you with the deepest impression

Yoochun: As there was little time to practice before entering the film-set, I would always return home after the filming ended for the day with my assistant and go over my script for several hours on end just to prepare for the next day. Because I felt nervous and pressurized, I didn’t have much of an appetite and would often sleep and then quickly wake up again, so I didn’t get much sleep either. But when I start to act, I feel extremely happy because I had the chance to experience the life of another person other than myself. Although the actual filming only took a week, I still felt moved and received a lot of inspiration.

—— The character you play, Yoonsu, is the son of a famous tycoon who is stuck-up and has a bad personality. What difference does he has compared to you in terms of personality?

Yoochun: As the son of a rich man, Yoonsu can have essentially anything he wants. But in actuality, he is very lonely. He has no sense of value as to what is important. Yoonsu and I are different, but I can still understand his feelings. For Yoonsu, he wanted to be like Hinata. For me, I have my family members, my members, my fans, and everyone that supports me. That is why I feel very blessed and fortunate.

—— In addition, Yoonsu is very condescending towards others, when in fact, he’s just agonizing about his own chained-down life. On the inside, he wants to chase after freedom but he can’t. For this character, did you specially prepare anything before the shoot?
